About Me

    1. This image would be hard to Photoshop because of all the people in the background. I like it because of how different everyone's style is in the picture. So I could be very creative like he was with it.  2. This image inspired me with my somewhere project because it looks genuine. His outfit and the lightning in his picture help make it look natural. Also, the spot he picked to put himself in was brilliant because it could be where someone would stand in this picture. 3. This set of images really made me laugh. I picked this one because it was my favorite; he looks older with that bald hair, which is the funniest part.  4. I think this illusion is really impressive. It looks like a professional photograph in a pretty setting, and it is hard to believe that this was the process of it. It would be fun to recreate it, but I would need a projector.

Artist Statement: In my artistic process, I embark on a transformation journey by converting black-and-white photographs into vibrant color compositions not just once but three times over. Utilizing the versatile capabilities of Adobe Photoshop, I undergo a multi-step process that breathes new life into the original image with each iteration. Firstly, I approach the conversion discerningly, carefully selecting the initial black and white photograph as my canvas. This selection is the foundation for the subsequent transformations as I analyze its tonal nuances and compositional elements to inform my color choices. In my creative process, I leverage Adobe Photoshop's color tools, including triad, complementary, and square color schemes, to infuse depth and harmony into my work. These color schemes serve as guiding principles, allowing me to explore the dynamic interplay of hues and enhance the emotional resonance of each composition.

Platon's Powerful Portraits In the captivating documentary featuring the renowned photographer Platon, his fearless portraits emerge as windows into world leaders' and ordinary people's souls. One poignant image from "The People's Portfolio" that resonated deeply with my emotions was a self-portrait capturing the essence of Platon's immigrant experience. In this evocative image, he bears the scars of being labeled a "bloody foreigner" after arriving from England. The raw emotion in his eyes and the subtle shifts in his expressions tell a story of resilience and transformation. Platon's encounter with adversity and the subsequent evolution of his perspective are visible in his self-portraits and the captivating images he captures of others. The pain he experienced became a door to empathy, as he explains, "If I can harness the experience of what happened to me, I now know what it means to hurt." This narrative struck a chord with m...

Embrace the Power Within In crafting this propaganda poster, I sought to convey a powerful message of self-love and empowerment through the visual language of color and symbolism. At the forefront of this composition is a compelling self-portrait, a reflection of the unique and radiant individual who gazes back at the viewer. The choice of colors plays a pivotal role in communicating the essence of the message. The dominant hues of pink and red are carefully selected to symbolize both femininity and power. Pink, a delicate yet assertive color, represents the nurturing qualities often associated with femininity. Red, on the other hand, embodies strength, passion, and the intrinsic power within. Together, they form a harmonious blend that celebrates the multifaceted nature of self-love. The circular motifs emanating from behind the self-portrait serve as a visual metaphor for the profound strength originating from within. These circles, expanding outward like ripples in water, sign...

In the delicate dance of creation, I found solace and inspiration to weave together the threads of my emotions, memories, and identity. My latest endeavor, crafting a logo that encapsulates the essence of my departed father and the vibrant spirit of my homeland, Panama, has been a heartfelt journey of self-expression. The butterfly, with its transformative journey from humble caterpillar to ethereal winged beauty, symbolizes the everlasting presence of my father in my life. It mirrors the metamorphosis of grief into a kaleidoscope of memories and the enduring connection between the earthly and the ethereal. The butterfly's lower wing delicately cradles Panama's silhouette, an homage to my roots and the indelible mark my country has left on my soul. Like the hues of a sunset, colors play a pivotal role in conveying the depth of emotions embedded in this logo. The verdant greens symbolize the tranquility and serenity of acceptance, offering a peaceful haven for reflection. The ...
