Artist Statement:

In my artistic process, I embark on a transformation journey by converting black-and-white photographs into vibrant color compositions not just once but three times over. Utilizing the versatile capabilities of Adobe Photoshop, I undergo a multi-step process that breathes new life into the original image with each iteration. Firstly, I approach the conversion discerningly, carefully selecting the initial black and white photograph as my canvas. This selection is the foundation for the subsequent transformations as I analyze its tonal nuances and compositional elements to inform my color choices. In my creative process, I leverage Adobe Photoshop's color tools, including triad, complementary, and square color schemes, to infuse depth and harmony into my work. These color schemes serve as guiding principles, allowing me to explore the dynamic interplay of hues and enhance the emotional resonance of each composition.

    Artist Statement:     For this assignment, I had to include myself in my favorite movie, pirates of the Caribbean. I had to dress up as a pirate, including many layers of clothes, jewelry, and accessories. For the picture, I positioned myself in front of a big window because they had a lot of natural light in this scene. I positioned myself next to Captain Jacksparrow because he is my favorite character. I modified his hand using the puppet warp as if he were hugging me as we passed through this river. I tried to make myself look like I was in the water with them. I place the branches on top of me to make it more natural and blend in with the picture. Also, I included my tag brush as a tattoo on my chest, like a pirate. And I modified the hue saturation and curves to make my picture blend in more.
