 Artist Statement 

Embarking on my first Photoshop project for this class is very interesting. I was excited to learn the different tools and how to use them. Learning the intricacies of creating custom brushes was captivating, allowing me to mold digital tools to my artistic vision. The highlight was undoubtedly creating a graffiti piece featuring our logo, which became a testament to my creative identity. The project culminated in crafting a broader image using our newly acquired brush, beginning a thrilling exploration into the limitless possibilities of digital composition. This venture enriched my technical skills and sparked a newfound passion for digital artistry, leaving an indelible mark on my artistic journey.

    Artist Statement:     For this assignment, I had to include myself in my favorite movie, pirates of the Caribbean. I had to dress up as a pirate, including many layers of clothes, jewelry, and accessories. For the picture, I positioned myself in front of a big window because they had a lot of natural light in this scene. I positioned myself next to Captain Jacksparrow because he is my favorite character. I modified his hand using the puppet warp as if he were hugging me as we passed through this river. I tried to make myself look like I was in the water with them. I place the branches on top of me to make it more natural and blend in with the picture. Also, I included my tag brush as a tattoo on my chest, like a pirate. And I modified the hue saturation and curves to make my picture blend in more.
