I'm excited about this class because I want to learn more about Adobe apps, specifically Photoshop and Illustrator. My first experience with the Adobe program was with Adobe Premier Pro, and I really enjoyed it. Later, I did an internship where I was required to edit videos in Adobe Premier, and I had to collaborate with the design team to do my captions. I realized the importance of knowing how to use Adobe programs during this internship and decided I wanted to minor in digital media. So that's why I look forward to this class so much.

My name is Stephanie Quijano, and I am a junior at the University of Tampa. I'm also an international student from Panama. Some fun facts about me are that I play soccer, love to dance, and am a content creator on Tiktok and Instagram. Some achievements I have made were finding what I like: digital media, advertising, and public relations. I also have another minor in communications that I enjoy. My failure would be how long it took me to realize it. I started school in 2022 as a marketing major, and after some classes i realized that I wanted to be in the marketing field but I started looking for other options and within a year, I changed my major and added my minors.

    Artist Statement:     For this assignment, I had to include myself in my favorite movie, pirates of the Caribbean. I had to dress up as a pirate, including many layers of clothes, jewelry, and accessories. For the picture, I positioned myself in front of a big window because they had a lot of natural light in this scene. I positioned myself next to Captain Jacksparrow because he is my favorite character. I modified his hand using the puppet warp as if he were hugging me as we passed through this river. I tried to make myself look like I was in the water with them. I place the branches on top of me to make it more natural and blend in with the picture. Also, I included my tag brush as a tattoo on my chest, like a pirate. And I modified the hue saturation and curves to make my picture blend in more.
